Posted: February 24th, 2010 | Author: Tracy | Filed under: Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

FDR 010 – Pfisters – Narcicity 12″ LP

Debut release from this Baltimore, MD noise-rock power trio. Pfisters come out of the gate swinging on Narcicity, which features 11 blasts of trashy rock inspired by house whiskey and thrown barstools. Pfisters have made a name for themselves with explosive live shows up and down the East Coast, including a number of notorious appearances at the band’s own Ruintown space. From the addled minds behind the New Flesh and Trash Camp.

Order it now! It ships as of March 3rd!

Also available for pre-order…

FDR 015 – Neon Blud – Whipps 7″

Evolving out of Slamantha and ZZ Suxx’ Body Rot project, whose Tuff Muscles CS was a Fan Death favorite in 2009, Neon Blud add drummer Carson Cox to pound their NYC ’78/Olympia ’92 vibe into an unrelenting six-track debut of Tampa heat and Ybor City sleaze. Members of Cult Ritual, Slavescene, Merchandise. Vinyl issue of a self-released CS.

Available for pre-order now. Pre-orders will ship on or before March 23rd. Whipps will be available in wide release on March 30th!

New Puerto Rico Flowers 7" dropping soon

Posted: February 23rd, 2010 | Author: Tracy | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Just a quick head’s up to let you know Puerto Rico Flowers will have a new 7″ out this spring, 2, featuring Voice of Love and When Your Lonely Heart Breaks. Pre-orders will start on March 2nd and it will go into wide release on April 25th, which Sharkey would like you to know is also known as Anzac Day.

Via Sean:

This is the new single by Puerto Rico Flowers, 2. It’s called 2 because it features two songs. If there were seven songs, the record would be called 7. Surely, by now, you grasp the idea. Inspired by Canberran isolation and John Cale, 2 offers us one new orignal and one borrowed tune. Again performed solely—and in the same fashion—by John Sharkey III (CFC). This record was recorded by a New Zealander (FFC) in a house unfit for human inhabitants located in Yarraville, Victoria. 2 strays noticeably from the forced darkness of today’s boring youth and towards a more human element, while all along cementing the fact that women are not the enemy, time is.

Twin Stumps – Seedbed LP/CD available April 20th, 2010

FDR 020 – Twin Stumps – Seedbed LP/CD

Out April 20th, 2010!

If a band’s surroundings influence their sound, one might assume that Ridgewood, New York, a neighborhood on the border of Brooklyn and Queens that Twin Stumps calls home, is a decaying urban wasteland seldom seen outside of dead industrial cities in Eastern Europe. Coming on the heels of last year’s critically acclaimed self-titled 12″ on Dais, universally considered one of the most grotesque, misanthropic, and extreme releases of 2009, a listen to Seedbed finds the band pulling you further into the grime and mire of THEIR world. The result is a truly unnerving mixture of suffocating feedback and distortion, blown-out drum sounds, loop abuse beyond recognition, and the manipulated, maniacal barks of wild-eyed singer Alessandro Keegan. Recorded and mastered by Ben Greenberg (Zs/Pygmy Shrews) at Python Patrol.

The pre-order has sold out and will ship out a couple of weeks before the street date. If you missed the pre-order, be sure to pick it up as of April 20th!

In the meantime, listen to their new song, Missing Persons!

Two Taco Leg shows this weekend

Posted: December 7th, 2009 | Author: Chris | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Taco Leg

For those of you who happen to find yourselves in Western Australia this weekend, the best band in Perth, Taco Leg, will be performing two shows for your enjoyment. On the 11th, Taco Leg will be covering the A-side of Damaged at Tanya’s house (ask somebody for information), along with Golden Staph, Wind Waker and Wigwam. They’ll also be playing their regular set on the 12th at the Pigeonhole. They played another Damaged show this past weekend, leaving a trail of destruction in an upscale Perth restaurant.

FDR-004, Taco Leg’s “Freemason’s Hall” 7″, is currently available to order from us. Australians will be able to get it from Stained Circles shortly.

Puerto Rico Flowers' 12" now ready for pre-order!

Posted: November 11th, 2009 | Author: Tracy | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

We have begun taking pre-orders for Puerto Rico Flowers’ upcoming 12″, 4. It is scheduled to drop on January 19th, 2010, but we’re hoping to get it out even earlier!

We are starting with pre-orders now because this will likely sell out! 4 will stay in print, with different vinyl for subsequent pressings, but pre-orders will help us gauge whether we should print more copies ASAP!

Anyone who pre-orders will be notified promptly if the release date changes.

Also, to make things more manageable for us, pre-orders will be limited to 100 copies. Once these are gone, there will be no more pre-orders. Anyone who gets in on this early pre-order can also expect a nice surprise with their purchase!

You can pre-order 4 HERE!

This is the debut EP from Puerto Rico Flowers and it is called 4 because there are 4 songs on it. If there were 5 songs, it would be called 5. Bass/Drums/Synthesizer/Vocals found here. Slow songs not unlike a skinhead crying. John Sharkey III wrote and recorded them. He lives in America and Australia. Yes, he used to be in Clockclean Er, but he also used to be a smoker. He gave that up a long time ago. Performances are seasonal and enjoyable. Thank you.
